Penthouse by Harlan Goldstein is a 6,800 sq ft interior plus 5,000 sq ft rooftop restaurant in the heart of Causeway Bay. It has a stylish urban-rustic interior design and jaw-dropping panoramic harbour views. From its extensive menu of contemporary Western cuisine to its solid wine and cocktail menu – it is all impressive.

Located in the heart of commercial district in Hong Kong, Penthouse is an urban rustic stylish restaurant. Design concept brings up the atmosphere of New York Chic style, meanwhile infusing industrial loft elements, like the curated furnishings and bold color, the restaurant becomes an urban retreat that any visitor would be happy to stay.

The Entrance reflects a metropolitan style with timeless connotation, without missing out an artistic sense. once entering the space is the cold kitchen that is designed to generate a warm and inviting atmosphere. Stunning chandelier made out of fry pans hanging over the corridor and a communal dining table is placed which makes the dining experience more pleasurable.
在餐飲地方，做成一個上升的餐飲區(qū)域，形成獨立而私密的就餐空間。另一方面，家具可以靈活配搭，可以隨意形成一個活動空間。
The booths in the dining hall are elevated on a platform, this allows diners to have their own private space. On the other hand, other furniture and settings are flexible and is easy to be converted into an event space.
拋光而別致的VIP區(qū)并非奢華高調(diào)，注重一種與眾不同的餐飲體驗。地面的圖案與天藍(lán)色的椅墊營造著祥和舒適的氣息，整體空間中，木質(zhì)天花拼板的色澤溫暖了整體空間，酒吧位的天花滿布黑色金屬層架，帶點時下流行的紐約式 Loft Style，配搭窗外那 180 度無敵海景，型格卻不局促。
The VIP room is polished and chic. There is nothing luxurious yet giving you a feeling of distinctive. Patterns tiling on the floor give a touch of calm and cozy , and the space has been transformed into an inviting interior by introducing a sky blue hue in the upholstery of the chairs. The entire space is warmed by the wooden ceiling panels, which also succeed in making the lofty ceiling appear lower for a more intimate atmosphere.

采訪陳德堅:
《深圳家具·設(shè)計》：香港文化是什么？在設(shè)計上有什么特性？
陳德堅:以前，我認(rèn)為臺灣設(shè)計師對裝飾有自己的見解，國內(nèi)的設(shè)計師注重文化的表達(dá)?，F(xiàn)在來講，香港設(shè)計師設(shè)計會比較商業(yè)化。因為香港是一個商業(yè)社會，所以我會非常注重準(zhǔn)確性，設(shè)計不準(zhǔn)確是很容易被人淘汰的。尤其是商業(yè)設(shè)計是要非常精準(zhǔn)達(dá)到客戶的需求。同時，速度要快，這也是香港特性。香港設(shè)計師非常的靈活性，懂得變通。香港人本來的生活就比較快，這也會影響我們的思考與處理方式。遇到客人很不一樣的要求，我們會和客戶多溝通，適應(yīng)不同環(huán)境去做不同的設(shè)計。
《深圳家具·設(shè)計》：大陸的市場與海外市場有什么不一樣？
陳德堅:文化和工作的習(xí)慣會比較不一樣，比如說在美國，有些項目要求必須使用工會的工人。當(dāng)然，不同國家的假期與精準(zhǔn)又會不一樣，比如，設(shè)計管理到施工管理又會有很大差異性。國內(nèi)的業(yè)主更需要理解設(shè)計師的行業(yè)以及工作流程，但我現(xiàn)在的國內(nèi)的客戶已經(jīng)比較了解我，他們會先跟我確認(rèn)某個項目的時間節(jié)點，確定是否有時間去完成。遇到時間不充足的項目，我不會強(qiáng)求。
《深圳家具·設(shè)計》：你覺得從建筑到室內(nèi)一站式設(shè)計比較合理還是拆分空間設(shè)計會比較好？
陳德堅:這里面涉及很多復(fù)雜的情況，包括利益的沖突，可能有的人會為了某些利益而簡化了某些功能，這可能不利于質(zhì)量的保證，或者說術(shù)有專攻，反而做不出專業(yè)水準(zhǔn)。
《深圳家具·設(shè)計》：很多設(shè)計師開設(shè)了不同產(chǎn)品的品牌，比如酒店、家具等等，你怎么看待這個現(xiàn)象?
陳德堅:這個現(xiàn)象很正常，如果一個設(shè)計師有充足的時間去完成，當(dāng)然可以做更多產(chǎn)品。比如，我喜歡音樂，我平時也會去演奏。當(dāng)然要是能開設(shè)自己的新事業(yè)，同時能兩者兼顧，這是件好事。
